Bulgaria's Grigor Dimitrov Scores 1st ATP Masters Win

Bulgaria's best male tennis player Grigor Dimitrov has won his matchup against Turk Marsel Ilhan, in the opening round of Western and Southern Financial Group Masters.

Grigor Dimitrov, aka Grisho beat Ilhan 6:3, 7:5 in the match at the outdoor hard courts of the Lindner Family Tennis Center in Mason, near Cincinnati, United States, on Monday afternoon.

This was Grisho's first win in the ATP Masters Series, leading him to the second round of the Cincinnati Masters. The Bulgarian wildcard entrant is currently 56th in the world ranking.

In the next round of Cincinnati Open Dimitrov will face the world number six, David Ferrer of Spain, for a place in the third round. Being the fifth seed in the tournament, Ferrer received the right to play directly in the second round.
