The Bulgarian Black Sea city of Varna hosted Saturday an impressive "parade of elegance" of retro cars from around the country.

A total of 62 retro cars and 10 motorbikes took part in the procession in downtown Varna which attracted locals and foreign tourists alike.

The retro car parade in Varna was organized by the Varna Retro Automobile Club and the Varna Municipality within the Varna Summer Festival.

The participating retro vehicles will be on display at the entrance of Varna's Sea Garden park until Sunday.

The oldest retro car at the event is a legendary 1913 Ford T, owned by collector Todor Delyakov from Burgas, who took part in the parade with a 1949 Triumph, Darik Varna reported.

Other notable vehicles include a 1963 Skoda Octavia Super, owned by Plamen Velinski from Razgrad; a 1963 Trabant 600 owned by Kolyu Donchev from Dobrich; a 1936 Mercedes-Benz 230 S owned by Kiril Nikolaev from Haskovo.

The most interesting motorbikes are a 1967 MZ Trophy owned by Dimo Dimov from Varna and a 1953 Soviet-made M 72 owned by American Charles Harvin, a native of Houston, TX, who has been living in Bulgaria for 6 years.
