Manchester United striker Dimitar Berbatov and his teammates made a trip to the White House on Thursday.

Hours after beating a Major League Soccer All Star team 4-0 in New Jersey, Sir Alex Ferguson and his squad had a tour around Barack Obama's residence.

The US head of state, however, was unable to meet Berbatov and company because he had important meetings to attend.

Ferguson, famous for his interest in politics, was overwhelmed with the visit of the iconic building.

After posing for a picture next to a photo of the 13th President of the United States, Millard Fillmore, he said that 'It was fantastic. Fascinating. I've been before but it's such an historic and incredible place. We all enjoyed it.'

Washington was the last spot on the American tour of "The Red Devils" before the start of the new domestic season on August 07.

On Sunday Manchester United play Barcelona.
