Blasts Expose Interior Minister as Incompetent - Bulgarian Socialist Leader

Sergey Stanishev, leader of the Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP), has defined the overnight blasts in Sofia as a threat to the democratic regime.
In Stanishev's words, ruling center-right party GERB bears the moral responsibility for the atmosphere of confrontation and hatred which is instilled in society.
The left-wing leader has insisted that the prevailing adversarial environment is a breeding ground for such acts of vandalism.
According to Stanishev, the explosions in front of the headquarters of DSB and RZS yet again highlight the incompetence of Interior Minister Tsvetan Tsvetanov in handling such threats to internal security.
Stanishev has reminded that the blast in front of the office of the "anti-government" Galeria newspaper early on February 10 in downtown Sofia has not been uncovered "and will never be uncovered".
"These parties are our political opponents but it is inadmissible to resort to such methods in Bulgaria's public life", the former Prime Minister has concluded.
The first blast went off at 3:58 a.m. in front of the headquarters of the conservative Order, Law and Justice Party, RZS, in central Sofia.
About twenty minutes later another explosion ripped off the air in front of an office of the party of former Prime Minister Ivan Kostov, the die-hard rightist Democrats for Strong Bulgaria.
No casualties were reported.
The blasts came one day after Bulgaria's centrist and leftist opposition tabled in parliament a no confidence motion against the cabinet of Boyko Borisov.
The forthcoming no-confidence vote is expected to be supported by RZS and DSB.
