Prince Cyril , the son of Bulgaria's former King, Simeon Saxe-Coburg, believes his father would do a splendid job if he is to become President of the country.

Saxe-Coburg was also Prime Minister between 2001 and 2006 in the cabinet of his party National Movement for Stability and Prosperity, NMSP.

Prince Cyril now says in an interview for the Bulgarian daily "24 Chassa" (24 Hours) that his father would make an excellent President in a response to a question if it would be feasible to think Saxe-Coburg will enter the race.

The Prince, however, points out that "the Bulgarian people are the only ones to decide who is to become the Head of State," adding his father had always been dedicated to its country and people.

"All good things he has done are now coming back to him in the form of trust and prestige. Europe values him and has not forgotten what he has done for Bulgaria," he says.

The King's son states he would be delighted if Saxe-Coburg would become President, explaining this is a personal decision only the latter can make, and notes the loads of work and the sacrifices he would have to make if he would take over the President's Office.
