Bulgaria's Top Male Tennis Star with New ATP Record

Bulgaria's top male tennis player, Grigor Dimitrov, continues to climb ahead in the world ATP list, where he is now 59th.

This is a new record-breaker in Bulgaria's male tennis history.

The 19-year-old Bulgarian player, from the southern city of Haskovo, missed the important playoff, decisive fro his stay in the second group of the European-African zone of the Davis Cup, and chose to participate at the international tournament in Newport, where he reached the second round and secured 20 points.

This week Dimitrov is not scheduled in the ATP calendar, but beginning July 18th he will play in Atlanta where the prize fund is USD 531 000.
