Every Bulgarian Showered with 45 Newspapers 2010

A total of 340 812 000 was the annual circulation of newspapers in Bulgaria in 2010, or 45 newspaper issues per capita for the whole year, according to the country's National Statistical Institute.

A 17.7% drop has been registered in the number of newspapers, while the total annual circulation decreased by 4.2%.

Bulgaria had 60 daily newspapers in 2010, their annual circulation being 186 792 000, or 2.8% less than in 2009.

In 2010, 148 weekly newspapers were published, a 19.1% decrease in comparison with 2009. Their relative share within the total annual circulation was 40.6%.

The relative share of newspapers published in Bulgarian in 2010 was 96.4%, or 0.3ts more in comparison with 2009.

A total of 563 magazines were active in Bulgaria in 2010.
