Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov has spent 400 of his 700 days in office cutting ribbons at official ceremonies, Anton Kutev, a key MP from the oppositional leftist Bulgarian Socialist Party, has estimated.

Borisov has succeeded in cutting a total of 2000 ribbons as Prime Minister, Kutev claimed Friday before the Bulgarian National Television.

"If we assume that each ribbon cutting ceremony takes between an hour and an hour and a half, one could not possibly cut more than five a day. If we divide these 2000 ribbons by five, than it turns out he has spent 400 days doing that," Kutev elaborated on his algorithm.

"But how many highways has Borisov built?" Kutev rhetorically asked, saying the answer was less than 30 km. He pointed out that the nation was becoming increasingly poorer, while the Prime Minister was constantly talking about highways.

Kutev declared Borisov was not a "real hero", but a "virtual" one.
