The Bulgarian cabinet assigned the task of coordinating and executing all preparations for the upcoming presidential and local elections to Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister, Simeon Djankov.
Djankov is also required to submit with the Council of Ministers a plan for the projected expenses for the election campaign and the organization of the elections along with a fee schedule to pay for campaign broadcasts on the Bulgarian National Television, BNT, and the Bulgarian National Radio, BNR.
The news was reported Wednesday by the cabinet's press center.
The Minister for Regional Development and Public Works, Rosen Plevneliev, is to organize and publish all election lists while Foreign Affairs Minister, Nikolay Mladenov, is in charge of organizing presidential elections for Bulgarians living abroad.
The three Ministers are to report directly to Prime Minister, Boyko Borisov, until the election results are officially announced.
