14-Year-Old Confirmed Killed in Hellish Bus Crash in Bulgaria

A teenager, a young ethnic Turkish man, one of the drivers, and the spokeswoman of the police in the town of Stara Zagora have been identified among the casualties of the horrific bus crash in Southern Bulgaria, which killed eight.

Relatives of the eight victims are currently identifying the charred bodies, which is said to be а very difficult process.

The father of the teenager, a fourteen-year-old boy, whose name has not been released, is said to be on his way to the hospital to identify his body.

The spokeswoman of the police in the town of Stara Zagora, Southern Bulgaria, Yonka Georgieva, has also been confirmed to be among the dead.

One of the two drivers of the bus, identified as Ivan Chakarov, has also been killed in the crash.

Eight people were killed and 22 injured early Wednesday when a passenger bus overturned and burst into flames after hitting a traffic barrier near the city of Plovdiv.

The injured people have been taken to nearby hospitals – two of them in a coma.

There were thirty-one passengers aboard the bus.
