Bulgaria's top female sprinter, Ivet Lalova, scored a sensational victory at 100 meters in the Diamond League track and field tournament.

The competition was held in the Norwegian capital Oslo.

Lalova, 27, is the Bulgarian 100-meter sprint record holder with 10.77 seconds. She is the sixth fastest woman in the world, and also known as the fastest white woman.

Her result of 11.08 seconds is the top in the European rang list for the 2011 season.

The Bulgarian was the fastest with a time of 11.01 seconds, a record for the season. The result, however, would not enter the official rang list due to the 2.2 meters per second wind, which is over the acceptable norm.

Lalova's gold medal is the first Bulgarian win in the prestigious Diamond League, bringing together the world track and field elite.

Olesya Povh (11.4 seconds) from the Ukraine ended second while Ezinne Okparaebo from Norway was third (11.17 seconds)
