The no confidence parliamentary vote against the Bulgarian cabinet must be over the failure in internal security and public order, according to right-wing leader, Ivan Kostov.

Kostov, who is a a former Prime Minister, a Member of the Parliament and Chair of the Democrats for Strong Bulgaria (DSB) party, spoke Tuesday morning in an interview for the TV channel bTV, saying in such case the right-wing would support the no confidence vote.

According to the former PM, such vote will lead to the dismissal of the cabinet, and would give the ruling, center-right Citizens for European Development of Bulgaria, GERB, party a chance for a second term, but without Interior Minister, Tsvetan Tsvetanov.

On the other hand side, a no confidence vote for the overall rule of the country would not receive the approval of the so-called Blue Coalition, formed by DSB and the other right-wing party – Union of Democratic Forces, UDF, because there are good ministers in the cabinet, Kostov said, giving as example Defense Minister, Anyu Angelov, Foreign Affairs Minister, Nikolay Mladenov, Economy and Energy Minister, Traicho Traikov, Environment Minister, Nona Karadzhova.

"Tsvetanov is a failure – you see the sorry state of the law enforcement authority; he stirred a true war with the Court system, and we cannot join Schengen. There are no trial cases against crime bosses; there are not even charges pressed," the DSB leader pointed out.

On the topic of the announced presidential bid of Bulgaria's first and now-former EU Commissioner, Meglena Kuneva, Kostov said she did not deserve all the attention, because she was not such serious candidate, adding part of the sociological surveys are ordered and paid for, generating huge PR campaigns.

The MP explained the paid sociologists' trick is to present the approval rating of a certain politician as potential votes. He reiterated his earlier statement Kuneva will always carry the marks of the previous Three-Way Coalition cabinet over her belonging to the party of the former King and PM, Simeon Saxe-Coburg – National Movement for Stability and Prosperity (NMSP)

Regarding the decision of former Mayor of Sofia, Stefan Sofiyanski, to run again for the post, Kostov declared the candidate abandoned this post mid-way his previous term, leaving Sofia buried under piles of trash.

The right-wing leader said Sofiyanski has no chance of victory, so he must have another motive, most likely stopping the Blue Coalition candidate from reaching a possible second round.
