Bulgaria's ethnic Turkish party Movement for Rights and Freedoms, DPS, is requesting a no-confidence vote against the cabinet over its entire policy, the DPS Deputy Chair, Lyutvi Mestan, declared Tuesday.

During the consultations with the other main opposition formation, the Bulgarian Socialist Party, BSP, scheduled for Wednesday, DPS will propose their motives for the vote instead of the currently considered failure in the socio-economic sector and failure to deal with the economic crisis.

Earlier Tuesday, the Socialists pointed out as other reasons – problems in the security sector and actions of Interior Minister, Tsvetan Tsvetanov.

Mestan informed, if needed, consultations will be held with other parliamentary represented parties.

"The vote must be for the entire policy even though there are grounds to ask it for the socio-economic situation. We believe the failures in various sectors stem from the faulty model of power," the DPS MP stressed, adding the strongest deficit of the government is the lack of national vision for the further development of the country.

According to Mestan, the vote will present alternative policies and another model of power, without the inclusion of the far-right, nationalist Ataka party.
