The ruling, center-right Citizens for European Development of Bulgaria, GERB, party still has no candidate for Head of the National Social Security Institute, NOI.

The information was reported Monday by the Social Policy and Labor Minister, Totyu Mladenov, who added the name of the person to take over NOI is going to be known "soon."

Currently, NOI is managed temporarily by Deputy Director, Vesela Ivanova, after Director, Hristina Mitreva was forced to resign over accusations of swelling the budget deficit by forecasting unrealistically high levels of revenues from social security.

After the resignation, Prime Minister, Boyko Borisov, declared several names are on the table, amidst reports, the Deputy Chair of the Parliamentary Social Committee from GERB, Svetlana Angelova, is one of them. Angelova, however, denied she has been offered the post.
