Bulgarian Anti-Mafia Police Bust Hacker Stealing Facebook Profiles

The Bulgarian Unit for Combating Organized Crime GDBOP has made its first ever Facebook related arrest by busting a hacker who hijacked user profiles in social networks.

The 20-year-old man took control of user profiles in Facebook, Skype and other social networks, and then demanded ransom in the form of pre-paid SIM card credit promising the victims to restore their control over their own profiles.

The police have seized computer devices from the hacker's apartment, and documenting further his novel criminal activity.
