Bulgarian Mezzo-soprano Plama Hristova will be back in Bangkok for another recital promised to be packed with unique sounds, flavours, colours and impressions, at Goethe Institute Bangkok on May 31 starting at 8pm. She will be accompanied by Sun Hee Kim on the piano.

The concert presents a blend of classical masterpieces, reflected through the purity and depth of the voice of the internationally renowned artist which will fill your hearts with emotions that will evoke inspirational divine images as a gift from God and will wake up the warmth and pulse of the Mother Earth.

This time around the Bulgarian diva will perform Rachmaninoff's Agnus Dei, Christ is Risen, All Once I Gladly Owned, All Things Depart and It is Me; Obradors' El Vito; Habanera from the opera Carmen by Bizet; Aria of Dalila from the opera Samson Et Dalila by Saent-Saens; and Aria of Azuchena from the opera Il Trovatore by Verdi.

Born in Sofia, Bulgaria, Plama is a world lauded mezzo-soprano of great power with a voice of exceptional clarity.

She has won the first prize in three International Musical Competitions in Italy. From 1986 till today she has been performing as a guest performer at many opera theatres throughout the world, mostly in Spain, Italy and Germany, and is on the roster of the Deutche International Associates.

From the early 2000s, in addition to performing, the opera singer has devoted considerable time to teaching and established a Music Academy Planima. She is coaching vocal belcanto techniques to young talented vocalists and rehabilitation of vocal deficiencies in Bulgaria and abroad.
