Sofia Police Solves Murder Case in 4 Days

A very serious crime – the murder of a 19-year-old girl had been solved after police had worked round-the-clock, Interior Minister, Tsvetan Tsvetanov, announced Wednesday.

The girl had been found dead with severe knife wounds. The murder happened on Friday, May 13. Police had been alerted by neighbors, who saw blood on the stairway and the open door of the girl's apartment.

The police have arrested late Tuesday a 15-year-old girl and a 17-year-old boy, who made full confessions. Substantial evidence had been seized. The investigation is continuing with the search of witnesses and everyone who was part of the victim's company.

The most likely motive is robbery, since a small amount of gold jewelry is missing from the home of the murdered girl.
