The Mayor of Sofia's Lozenets district, Prosho Proshkov, is the official candidate of the right-wing Democrats for Strong Bulgaria, DSB, party to run for mayor of the capital in the fall.

1 561 registered DSB members and supporters took part in the vote, with Proshkov receiving 897 votes and Petar Moskov – 664.

Proshkov was born in 1974 in Sofia and is one of the DSB founders.
