Bulgarian Top Cop: Football Star Is behind Black Lotto

A former player from the Bulgarian national football team has been identified as the boss of a crime group dealing with black lottery.

The news was reported by Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister, Tsvetan Tsvetanov, speaking for the Bulgarian National Radio, BNR.

Tsvetanov failed to disclose the name, but pointed out this is an individual the public knows well, adding there were also people from the political elite among the suspects.

Less than a week ago, police raided several bidding and gambling facilities on information they are dealing with black lotto, inflicting losses for the State estimated at EUR 50 000 a day.
