Globul Will Start to Operate July 2001*

The second Bulgarian GSM operator GLOBUL will start operating in mid-July 2001 and by end-2001 it is planned to have 120 000 subscribers, Panayotis Kargados, Chairman of the board of directors of Cosmo Bulgaria Mobile announced.

The company is a subsidiary of the Greek OTE and owns the second GSM operator's license in Bulgaria.

GLOBUL is the company through which Cosmo Bulgaria Mobile will offer mobile communication services in Bulgaria. Motorola and Ericsson will build the GLOBUL GSM network.
