Bulgarian Tanker Blown Up in Black Sea*

Bulgarian tanker Mesta suffered heavy fire close to the Romanian port of Constantsa. Fire was caused by an explosion on board.

One sailor is killed, another one is missing and a third is heavily injured. More than 20 other crew members are in hospital.

The reasons for the explosion are still not clear. The tanker was empty as it was prepared for repair.
