4 Injured in Sofia Night Club Brawl

Four young men, ages 20 to 25, have been seriously injured overnight in fight in front of a night club in Bulgaria's capital Sofia.

The news was reported Thursday by the private TV channel bTV.

One of the injured already underwent surgery at the emergency hospital Pirogov after being stabbed. Two others, with lighter knife wounds, are also listed there, while the fourth one is at Military Medical Academy.

According to unnamed sources, arguments erupted at 4 am in a popular pop folk night club in downtown Sofia between two groups over strong, hateful, ethnically-motivated remarks provoked by a song.

The two groups are said to have been from Bulgarian and Turkish background. Security guards threw the youth outside the club where they started the real fight.

Police have made arrests and are probing the case.
