Prince William and his college sweetheart, Kate Middleton, are now officially married.
Kate Middleton finally revealed her wedding dress, a lace and ivory satin design by Sarah Burton, the creative director for the late Alexander McQueen. Her groom, Prince William, whispered to her "You look beautiful" as he saw her for the first time today when she stood next to him at the altar.
From now on, Kate will be Catherine, Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Cambridge.
The wedding was watched by 1,900 guests in the abbey, including the former Bulgarian Tsar, Simeon Saxe-Coburg, and over 2 billion people worldwide. Crowds of at least 600,000 lined the streets to watch the glamorous event, which is a national holiday.
Prince William and his new bride, the Duchess of Cambridge, have kissed - twice - on the Buckingham Palace balcony to the cheering mass of humanity.
After the couple gave a final wave to the crowds, William took his wife's hand, she turned for one last look at the crowds and they headed inside. The balcony doors closed.

The couple looked nervous but happy and recited their vows without stumbling before Archbishop of Canterbury Rowan Williams.
