Friend Who Lent Fatally Crashed Car in Bulgaria Charged

A 19-year-old Bulgarian youth has been charged for lending his car to a drunken friend, who then went to crash and kill six youngsters Sunday.

The 19-year-old Zhivko Georgiev from Simeonovgrad has been detained for 24 hours and has been charged with leaving his car at the disposal of a drunken person.

The 23-year-old driver Daniel Georgiev has not been charged yet, as he is in a critical condition in a hospital in Plovdiv.

The six teenagers killed by the stray car were buried Monday, four of them in their native Simeonovgrad, one in Haskovo and one in Veliko Tarnovo.
