German Stats: Bulgaria with Lowest Hourly Wage in EU

In 2010, with EUR 3.1 an hour, Bulgaria had the lowest hourly wage from all 27 European Union Member States.

The data belongs to the German National Statistics and was reported Monday by the Bulgarian National Radio, BNR.

People, employed in the private sector in Germany, made an average of EUR 29.20 an hour in 2010, which is by 32% higher than the EU average, but still 12% less, compared with the hourly wage in neighboring France.
