3 Sentenced in France for Sex with Bulgarian Minor Boys

Three French nationals have received jail sentences for having sex with minor Bulgarian male prostitutes, the French regional daily SudOuest informs.

These are the very first verdicts in the case, after authorities from the city of Bordeaux questioned over the course of a year customers and parents of the Bulgarian boys.

Patrick Campet, 53, and Jean-Marie Le Coz, 57, have already been sentenced for pedophilia in 2000 to 12 and 10 years respectively. The magistrates ruled their latest crime recidivism. The third defendant is identified as Daniel Lucas, 54.

The three have admitted knowing and using the services of 6 Bulgarian boys, ages 13 to 18, but claimed they were under the impression the prostitutes were older. The Court rejected the claims on the ground the boys had ID papers.

The criminals picked the boys on city streets and from food establishments from 20 Bulgarian minors living in abandoned housing.

Five other men and four women, all parents of the boys, are investigated on pimping charges and are facing trial as well.

The three will be on probation for 8 years after being released from jail.
