US Ambassador Offers Advice on Bulgarian Roma Integration

Bulgaria still has plenty to do regarding the integration of Roma, US Ambassador to Sofia, James Warlick points out.

Warlick lectured on Roma integration and ethnic tolerance in the Black Sea capital Varna Thursday.

The solution involves better eduction, health care and jobs for Bulgarian Roma, according to the Ambassador, who also spoke about crime spread among the Roma community being a serious issue for the country.

During his trip to Varna, the Ambassador visited the rehabilitation center for children with special needs "Karin Dom," where he met with teachers and social workers to learn about the education and therapy programs offered at the home.
