English actor Colin Firth, who received an Oscar for his role in "The King's Speech", is considering including Bulgaria in a trip he is planning with his wife.

"I have heard so much about Bulgaria from my friend Rita Wilson [Tom Hanks' wife, who is of Bulgarian origin]. After the tension surrounding the Oscar and Golden Globe ceremonies, at which "The King's Speech" was awarded, my wife and I have decided to take a long trip. Maybe we can include Bulgaria as well," Firth said.

The Hollywood star talked to the Bulgarian journalist Georgi Toshev. The two happened to be at the ceremony of the Jameson Empire Awards 2011 in London, the Bulgarian daily "24 Chasa" (24 Hours) reported.

Empire, which is Britain's biggest selling film magazine, is organizing the annual Empire Movie Awards, which are voted for by readers of the magazine.

At the event, Toshev introduced himself to Firth and told him he was popular in Bulgaria long before his success with "The King's Speech".

The journalist offered to organize presenting of Firth's top 10 movies, including "Pride and Prejudice", "Bridget Jones's Diary" and "Mamma Mia" and the actor promised to consider the suggestion.
