Bolton winger Martin Petrov marked his comeback to Bulgaria's national football team by scoring the single goal in the international friendly against Cyprus on Tuesday evening.

Petrov, who has been suspended until now, capitalised on a defensive mistake in the first half of the match, dribbled past the keeper to slide the ball in the back of the net.

The football teams of Bulgaria and Switzerland failed to score goals during in the crucial Euro 2012 qualifier on Saturday that was a must-win for the two teams.

In the other game of Group G of the qualifiers, England beat Wales 0:2 on an away game.

This leads the English to the top of the group with Montenegro second, both teams having 10 points out of 4 games.

Switzerland and Bulgaria are third and fourth, respectively, with both teams having 4 points out of 4 games.
