Bulgaria's Grigor Dimitrov Reaches Record-High No.71

Bulgaria's top male tennis player, Grigor Dimitrov, has climbed seven positions in the ATP ranking and is currently No.71, which is his personal record.

Last week, the 19-year-old hot prospect, who is only the second male Bulgarian player to have reached top 100, won the ATP Challenger in Cherbourg, France and gained 90 ranking points.

The title was his first for this year and 10th in his professional career as a tennis player so far.

This week, Dimitrov is seeded No.1 in the EUR 30 000 ATP Challenger in Sarajevo. In the first round he will face 28 years old Karol Beck from Slovakia.

Bulgaria's top female tennis player Tsvetana Pironkova has dropped one position and is currently No.33 in the world. This week, she will participate in the prestigious USD 4.5 M Indian Wells tournament.
