Bulgaria's top male tennis player Grigor Dimitrov has reached the quarterfinals at the EUR 42 500 ATP Challenger in Cherbourg, France.

After defeating France's David Guez in the first round and Ivo Minar from the Czech Republic at the second round, Dimitrov will play at the quarterfinals, facing the winner of the match between Switzerand's Stephane Bohli and France's Marc Gicquel.

For qualifying among the top 8 of the tournament, the 19-year-old Bulgarian won EUR 1 245 and gained 17 ATP ranking points.

On Monday, it was announced that the Bulgarian tennis star has reached yet another high-ranking in the ATP list and is now 78th.
