Police Braces for Bulgaria's 'Eternal' Football Derby

Some 1300 police officers have been mobilized to secure the derby game between arch-rivals and Bulgaria's two most successful football clubs, Levski and CSKA on Saturday in Sofia.

The police will use horses, dogs and specialized equipment to prevent public order offenses,

The match, will begin at 18:00 local time on the Georgi Asparuhov stadium, is expected to be a highly charged affair, as the derby has often been accompanied by violent clashes between rival supporters of the two teams.

Drunken or aggressive ticket holders wouldn't be allowed in the stadium. Police reminded football fans the stadium is equipped with cameras so any violations of the order will be taped.
