The Egyptian army, which has now taken over the country, has suspended the country's Constitution, according to reports quoted by world agencies.

The army has also announced it dissolves Parliament, thus meeting two of protestors' key demands for radical reforms.

The Supreme Military Council of Egypt has also announced it will form a team of experts to draft a constitutional changes, after which the new constitution will be put to a popular referndum.

The Military Council took over Egypt after Friday VP Omar Suleyman announced that President Hosni Mubarak is resigning following pressure from week-long massive protests.

Sunday the cabinet appointed by Mubarak announced it will stay in power until reforms are executed. It is not clear how suspension of the consitution will reflect on that.
