Iran is celebrating Friday the 32th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution that broke out February 11, 1979.

"We will soon see the whole Middle East building itself without America and the Zionist regime! There will be no place for global arrogance here!" exclaimed President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad at the massive festive rally gathered on Tehran's Azadi Square.

Last week the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs had issued a statement that large-scale antigovernmental protests in Egypt and elsewhere in the region actually give people hope of a true "Islamic renaissance in the Middle East."

At the celebration of the Revolution's anniversary, President Ahmedinejad stated: "I am saying to the people and youth in Islamic and Arabic countries, especially to Egyptians and Tunisians: Be watchful! It is your right to be free and choose your government and leaders!"

The people gathered in Azadi Square chanted slogans supporting Egyptian and Tunisian protestors demanding democracy in their countries.
