The Center for Economic Development has released its January report

Bulgaria's economy will grow with up to 3% in 2011, the experts from the Center for Economic Development have stated in their January report.

According to preliminary data from the experts' report, announced Monday, the economy of the country has grown with 1.5% - 2% year on year in 2010's last quarter.

"We expect a 1% overall growth for 2010. The growth will continue in 2011, but will not surpass 3%," the reports says.

CED has pointed out that the recovery in production, which started in last year's third quarter, is still going slowly. Some sectors, including construction, are still shrinking, the report states, as well as the FDIs. However, these trend might end in the beginning of 2011.

The investment demand might grow faster than the consumer demand and the last quarter of 2010, or,more likely, the first quarter of 2011, might see an year on year investment growth.

The Center for Economic Development (CED) is a non-governmental Bulgarian think tank in the economic policy area, established in 1997.
