Sofia Icy Streets Injured 183

183 people were hospitalized in the last 24 hours with injuries resulting from falls on icy streets in Sofia, the Pirogov Hospital announced.

Doctor Hristo Stoychev has stated that the number of patients injured at the ski slopes in the winter resorts Bansko and Borovetz is increasing.

13 of the patients were admitted for surgeries with injuries mostly in the lower limbs.

Temperatures on Thursday morning were below zero. The lowest temperatures were measured in Sofia (-14C), Vratsa and Pleven (-13C), Plovdiv (-12C) and Veliko Tarnovo (-11C).

The highest temperatures on Thursday morning were measured at the Black Sea coast in Varna and Burgas (-3C).
