Bulgaria will be either the first or the last country that Brazil's president elect Dilma Rousseff will visit during her European tour, according to the Bulgarian 24 chasa daily.

The Balkan state will reportedly choose itself when to receive the prestigious visit.

On thursday, Dilma Rousseff, who is of Bulgarian origin, broke the protocol and welcomed the Bulgarian state delegation two days before her formal presidential inauguration.

"It was a fantastic meeting," Bulgaria's Prime Minister Boyko Borisov commented after the occasion.

"During our conversation, Mrs Rousseff recalled some Bulgarian words she had heard from her father as a child," Bulgaria's Foreign Minister, who also participated in the meeting, stated.

Dilma Rousseff, daughter of the Bulgarian immigrant Petar Rousseff, has already confirmed she will keep her promise to visit her father's homeland Bulgaria by the end of 2011, according to reports. The newly elected Brazilian president has sent an official letter to the mayor of the town of Gabrovo, where Petar Rusev is born, saying she accepts his invitation to visit it.

The Bulgarian delegation on Thursday included Borisov, Mladenov and Transport and IT Minister Alexander Tsvetkov. More details about their meeting with dilma Rousseff can be read HERE.
