Bulgaria's right-wing Blue Coalition demanded from the Interior Minister, Tsevtan Tsvetanov, to announce the forensic report on the case of the death of a prematurely-born baby from the town of Gorna Oryahovitsa.
The the co-chair of the Blue Coalition, Martin Dimitrov, has insisted that Tsvetanov should announce the report in the Parliament, like he did on December 3 when he read the transcript of the tapes from special surveillance devices, which indicated that four doctors were aware of the fact that the prematurely-born baby was alive but did nothing to try to save its life.
According to the other co-chair of the Blue Coalition, Ivan Kostov, the forensic reports is delayed by 18 days.
"It is unacceptable for a forensic report to be delayed so much. In our opinion, the only reason for the delay is the fear of the powerful interior minister, which is a shame. It shows the level at which Health Ministry and healthcare institutions are paralyzed from fear of not harming a politician, or colleagues," Kostov said.
He added that the reason for the delay are the upcoming holidays.
"And then, an inconclusive information will appear somewhere in the news and it will be convinient for both sides," Kostov said.
On Saturday, he said that the Blue Coalition will demand Tsvetanov's resignation if the report proves that the doctors from Gorna Oryahovitsa were innocent.
On Monday, it was made clear that the report is ready and, according to the Bulgarian National Television, the conclusion states that the baby was already dead when born.
