As 2011 is about to kick in, Bulgaria's largest English-language media Novinite.com (Sofia News Agency) is launching a new section to present to its readers from around the world various views and positions on the major issues Bulgaria will be facing in the new year.

Our new "Bulgaria in 2011" section is starting in the last days of 2010 and will run through the first months of 2011 to bring to your attention interviews and articles providing exciting coverage of what to expect in terms of major events and developments for Bulgaria in the new year.

The experts and opinion-makers that we will interview for this section will provide for you their insight into the main issues for Bulgaria in 2011 – such as its Schengen Area application, the economy, the development of the political situation, the fight against organized crime and corruption, the absorption of EU funds, among others.

The first two interviews in Novinite.com's "Bulgaria in 2011" section tackle Bulgaria's prospects for Schengen accession in 2011. They are with Andrey Kovatchev, a Member of the European Parliament from Bulgaria's ruling party GERB and Marin Lessenski, a political analyst at the European Policies Initiative and expert at the Open Society Institute in Sofia.
