66% Bulgarians Believe in Full Term of GERB Cabinet - Poll

About 66% of Bulgarians believe that the cabinet of the Citizens for European Development of Bulgaria (GERB) party will serve its full term.
The data comes from a December 3-10, 2010 poll of the National Center for Study of Public Opinion (NZIOM).
The percentage remained 71% for six months until December, when it dropped by 5%.
The percentage of people who do not think that the cabinet will serve its full term has increased by 3% and has reached a total of 14%.
The believers in the cabinet are mostly people from the higher society in Bulgaria – who are working, highly educated, wealthy and living in Sofia.
According to NZIOM, this shows that the policies of the GERB government are affecting the people who form the public opinion.
About 89% of GERB-supporters and 78% of the supporters of the nationalist party Ataka have stated their belief that the cabinet will end its term successfully.
The poll results showed that this opinion is shared even by supporters of the opposition parties.
However, there is not a clear opinion on what people think about the policies of GERB – about 45% are positive about them, while 42% are worried.
In the last six months, the number of people who were hopeful about the policies of the cabinet dropped by 13%, while the number of those who are worried increased by 11%.
Half of the Bulgarian expect that next year will be better for the country than 2010. Three times less are the people who are negative about the upcoming year.
The optimists are usually highly educated people, intellectuals, representatives of the private sector, wealthy people, those living in bigger cities, young people aged 18-29, working people aged 40-49, as well as supporters of GERB and Ataka.
