Russian PM Vladimir Putin has complained of the hygienic habits of the shepherd puppy Buffy presented him by Bulgarian counterpart Boyko Borisov, but has not hidden his fondness of the furry creature.

"Buffy's doing very well! He makes huge puddles and piles all over the house, but he's a very fine lad notwithstanding!" said the Putin in an interview aired nationwide on Russian TV and radio stations, as quoted by Lenta.ru.

Buffy was presented to the Russian PM by Bulgarian PM Borisov during the former's visit to Bulgaria in mid-November to negotiated important energy matters.

The young creature of the Bulgarian Karakachan shepherd breed swiftly became a media hit all over the globe, what with Vladimir Putin's unaffected tenderness shown toward his present.
