Five Bulgarian Companies Awarded for Corporate Donations

Five Bulgarian companies have been awarded by the Bulgarian Donators Forum for biggest corporate donators in 2010.

Bulgaria's mobile operator Mobiltel has won in the category for "Largest amount of financial donations" for its BGN 707,015 of donations.

Bulgaria's private TV channel bTV has won the award for "Largest amount of non-financial donations" for its BGN 5,052,431 of donations.

Another Bulgarian mobile operator, Vivacom, scored victory in the category for "Largest Contribution through Volunteer Work of Employees." The work of the 3,300 employees of Vivacom has been assessed at BGN 62,386.

The cosmetic company "Rosa Impex" took the award for "Most Generous Donator," measured in the volume of donations, calculated as percentage of profit before taxation. Rosa Impex's financial volume of donation is BGN 189,000 and the profit before taxation is BGN 5,358,000.

For the first year the Bulgarian Donators Forum is giving awards for the categories "Best Donation Program for 2009" and "Most Transparent Donation Program for 2009."

Danone Bulgaria took the first award for its joint campaign with the Dimitar Berbatov Foundation, called "Active and Healthy," which aimed at repairing and constructing of sports facilities in nine schools in Bulgaria.

Raiffeisen Bank took the award for "Most Transparent Donation Program for 2009" for its campaign "Choose to help," which is a donation platform that promotes and raises funds for more than 20 causes.
