EU Agriculture Commissioner to Head to Bulgaria

Dacian Ciolo?, EU Commissioner for Agriculture and Rural Development, will visit Bulgaria Friday.

He will have scheduled meetings with Bulgaria's Prime Minister Boyko Borisov and Agriculture Minister Miroslav Naydenov. The European commissioner will also talk with representatives from the the Bulgarian Parliament Agriculture and Forest Commission.

Dacian Ciolo? assumed his current post in February 2010. Then, he defined his main priorities as "maintaining a thriving agricultural sector in order to ensure food security, environmental preservation and protection of the countryside, help combat global warming and maintain a "fair standard of living for farmers."
