Bulgaria, Morocco Ink Industrial Cooperation Agreement

Morocco and Bulgaria signed an agreement aimed at strengthening bilateral industrial cooperation at the institutional level and in terms of research and innovation Monday.

According to this agreement, the two countries will encourage industrial cooperation initiatives by promoting cooperation between productive sectors. They also undertake to promote joint projects in the area of innovation, industrial research and transfer of technology.

On Monday, Bulgaria's Parliamentary Speaker Tsetska Tsacheva was welcomed in Rabat by Morocco's Speaker of the House of Representatives Abdelwahad Radi and by PM Abbas El Fassi.

During this meeting, El Fassi welcomed the excellent relations between Morocco and Bulgaria that are based on trust and mutual respect, saying that the two countries share viewpoints on many regional and international issues.

The collaboration in agriculture and the exchange of specialists and engineers were mentioned as key spheres of bilateral cooperation. A possibility was discussed of resuming regular direct flights between Bulgaria and Morocco.

Housing construction and road building, as well as an increased export of pharmaceutical products were recognized as Bulgaria's key business goals in Morocco.
