Bulgaria's Sofia Airport officially declared they have nothing to do with the accident, in which Head of Customs Office Pavel Manchenko's car was blown off Tuesday.

Representatives of the airport stated they have no affiliation whatsoever with the case and would consider the mentioning of the airport's name inappropriate.

Meanwhile, the Bulgarian Customs Agency stated that the explosion is an answer to their recent serious efforts to fight smuggling.

The accident with Manchenko's Audi A4 has occurred early in Tuesday morning and no people were hurt. Manchenko' s neighbors commented that they have heard a strong blast.

The police is still investigating the case.

Recently, a total of 320 kg of gold, 20 kg of silver, and 1 kg of platinum were stolen from a storage facility of the Bulgarian Customs Agency located at Terminal 1 of the Sofia International Airport. In a special operation, codenamed "The Combinators", 5 people were apprehended by the police as alleged perpetrators.
