The Bulgarian conservative "Order, Law and Justice" (RZS) party is introducing its own "shadow" cabinet on December 11, party leader, Yane Yanev, announced Thursday.

RZS is fully prepared and committed to offer a new government model and alternative team of ministers with concrete structure and names, Yanev said during a press conference.

The party leader added the "emblematic" RZS supporter and sympathizer, controversial businessman, and ex employee of the State Agency for National Security, Aleksei Petrov, has agreed to lead an expert council on national security.

Petrov was arrested in February, on a number of charges, during a special police operation codenamed "Octopus" and released on house arrest in mid-October. Soon after that he voiced strong political ambitions.

Yanev further informed the alternative government and its program have been prepared Wednesday, during a meeting of RZS Members of the Parliament and experts in various sectors.

"Budget 2011 is not a budget of reforms, but a budget aiming singlehandedly at ratings. In reality, this is the last budget of the now ruling Citizens for European Development of Bulgaria (GERB) party because it would lead to hunger, poverty, International Monetary Fund assistance, and new, early elections. This budget pushes the State towards an economic disaster, chain bankruptcies of companies, national security threats; sentences retirees to starvation and youth to emigration," Yanev declared.
