The future Paradise Center mall will be opened at the end of 2012 on an area of 3.6 hectares on the Cherni Vrah Blvd in Sofia. It will probably be the largest shopping mall in Sofia for the foreseeable It will have total commercial space of 75 000 square meters.

The opening of another large mall – with 72 000 square meters of commercial space – will be opened about a year later by Danaos Development, and will located next to the future IKEA store on the Sofia beltway.

According to the report of the Pari Daily, a third large shopping mall called Bulgaria Mall will follow suit about two years later.

The analysis points out that the new shopping malls in Sofia will not only be enormous but will seek to come up with strategies that are innovative for the local market.

Attracting international retail chains such as H&M and C&A is expected to become part of the scramble for customers of the new malls.
