Bulgaria Presents Universities Ranking System

A rating system for Bulgarian universities, which could help change their funding, will be presented Thursday by the Education Ministry and Open Society Institute.

A special guest to the opening presentation will be the Bulgarian Finance Minister Simeon Djankov.

The system will be Internet-based and the charts will be two types. The first type will be a standard one, while the second one will rank universities according to 51 indicators.

In Wednesday, the Education Minister, Sergey Ignatov, said that the system will define which are the best Bulgarian universities that would receive more funding.
