Bulgaria Bulgaria's first ever EU Commissioner, Meglena Kuneva, declared Tuesday she is not considering running for President, rebutting numerous, recent media reports.

Kuneva spoke Tuesday before the Bulgarian National Radio, BNR. She however said this was her position "at this stage."

The ex Commissioner, who is now political advisor of the EU Transport Commissioner and Chair of the Governing Board of the European Policy Center, further reiterated her weekend TV interview statements she was never invited and never considered joining or becoming a key player in the future political project of President, Georgi Parvanov. She defined the said reports as "part of an industry dealing with the spreading of rumors."

Regarding words of Prime Minister, Boyko Borisov that she visited him in person in his home to beg support on the part of the Citizens for European Development of Bulgaria (GERB) party for her having a second term with the European Commission, Kuneva admitted she met Borisov only once and during the conversation it became clear beyond any doubt that he had someone else in mind for the post.
