An explosion was set off in front of the Russian embassy in Athens, Greece with no casualties reported, as police destroyed a similar package directed at the embassy of Germany.

A similar package went off in front of the Greek Parliament Tuesday, wounding one woman. It is highly suspected that the shipping was directed at the embassy of Chile.

Earlier Tuesday special units of the Greek police produced a controlled explosion of a package at the embassy of Bulgaria.

The attack against the Russian embassy was prevented in a similar manner after staff alerted the police of a supsicious package they received.

An explosion went off at the Swiss embassy after staff threw a suspicious package out of the building. Fortunately no-one was hurt.

This is part of an on-going string of actual threats to international missions in the Greek capital.

On Monday, another package, destined for the Mexican Embassy, exploded inside the truck of a courier company. The following probe uncovered three other similar parcels, for the Embassies of Belgium and the Netherlands and one addressed to French President, Nickolas Sarkozy. Two people have been arrested.
